- Can I pay all of my American Family Insurance policies using Pay Now?

Auto, home, umbrella, business and farm & ranch policies
can be paid using Pay Now. At this time, Pay Now isn't available to pay
your life or health policies.

- What information do I need to access my account on Pay Now?

You will need the following information:
• Billing account number.
• Five digit postal code (ZIP code) from your last bill. Some non-U.S. postal codes may not be accepted in Pay Now. If your postal code is not five digits or if it contains letters, please call 1-866-424-8002 and press “0” to make your payment by phone with a live representative. You can also register on amfam.com to make a payment through Online Billing.

- What forms of payment does Pay Now accept?

Pay Now accepts:
• Personal and business checking/savings accounts. You will need the account number and financial institution’s nine digit routing number (see examples below).
• MasterCard or Visa debit/credit cards. You will need the 16-digit card number and expiration date.

- Can my agent make a payment for me?

Pay Now was designed for you to use. Because you must personally authorize the electronic transaction as part of the process, agents and their staffs do not have security to make payments for you.

- Can I make more than one Pay Now payment to a billing account per day?

Pay Now only allows one payment per billing account per day. If a second payment is attempted, you will receive an error message.

- Can I select a different payment amount each time I pay?

Each time you pay your bill you can pay the minimum amount due, account balance or other amount. These options may vary depending upon where you are in the billing cycle.

- What is the minimum amount due?

The minimum amount due is usually one month of premium, plus any applicable fees. You must pay at least the minimum amount due on your bill to continue your insurance coverage without interruption.

- What is the account balance?

The account balance is the total balance owed on an account. Pay Now accepts up to $50 over the account balance on active accounts and up to the account balance on inactive accounts.

- When will my payments be reflected?

In most cases, payments and policy cancellations will be reflected in your minimum amount due and account balance within one business day. Please allow up to three business days for payments to be reflected around holidays.

- Do I need to reenter my financial information each time I make a payment using Pay Now?

Yes, you will need to reenter your financial information each time you make a payment.

- Do I receive a confirmation number after I make a payment?

A confirmation page is displayed with a confirmation number once the payment is made. If you provide a valid email address, an email is sent to you with the confirmation number as well.

- Do I have to provide an email address?

This field is optional. However, a confirmation email isn't sent unless a valid email address is provided.

- How does a Pay Now payment appear on financial institution or credit card statement?

The entry will appear on your financial institution or credit card statement with other electronic transactions and will show the date of the transaction and the payment amount.

- How does a Pay Now payment appear on my next bill?

The payment amount and the following text displays in the activity section: “Payment Received.”

- Do I still receive paper bills?

A paper bill is still mailed to you. Using this payment method does not change the mailing of your paper bill.

Please note a monthly Administration Fee is charged whenever paying less than the full account balance and may vary by state. However, this fee is waived when paying your bill using Automated Funds Transfer (AFT) or Online Billing. A service fee is not charged to pay your bill over the phone or online.
