I am originally from Utah, but I have lived in Iowa since 2002. I married Kate in 2004, and we live with our beloved pets, a labradoodle named Clementine and a cat named Cat Stevens.

I worked in employee benefits from 2003 - 2018, and in an American Family agent's office from 2019 - 2021. I became an American Family agent myself in August of 2021, when I opened the Mike Richey Agency here in Indianola.

Spending time with my family and pets, Lego, Dungeons & Dragons, and enjoying what Indianola, Norwalk and the greater Des Moines area have to offer!
