Welcoming Jordan to the Family

Persistence That Paid Off

Jordan Love may be new to American Family, but he’s no stranger to the dream pursuit. When he was drafted to the Green Bay Packers as a first-round pick in 2020, Jordan realized a lifelong goal to play in the NFL — but it took a little preparation. The promising young draftee trained for three years as a protegee to the quarterback before getting his shot as starting QB.

Those years of learning taught Jordan a lot about patience — and made his big break as the leader of the Pack even more spectacular. Like any dream chaser, Jordan Love knows that success depends on his ability to ride the highs and lows of the game, build trust with his teammates and stay focused until the final play. Above all, he makes gratitude part of his daily practice, placing his faith and service to others first.

An Advocate for Positive Change

An Advocate for Positive Change

Despite reaching all-star status at an early age, Jordan’s road to the NFL was not without its trial. When he was only 14 years old, the Bakersfield, CA native lost his father to suicide. After the tragic passing of his No. 1 fan, Jordan learned that football could be more than a game — it could be a source of solace and strength. His passion for the sport not only helped shore up his emotional wellbeing after this difficult loss, it provided the camaraderie, support and perseverance he needed to keep pursuing his dream.

After climbing the ranks as the backup quarterback for his freshman high school team and shining as a recruit at Utah State, Jordan now soars into his bright NFL future with a new mission: to give back to his community.

In memory of his father, Orbin Love, a Bakersfield police office, Jordan created the Hands of 10VE Foundation. The mission of Hands of 10VE is three-fold: to make sports accessible to children of all backgrounds, to raise awareness for mental health and suicide issues and to continue his late father’s work of uniting law enforcement with the community. Through his foundation, Jordan hopes to brighten lives of people everywhere and be an advocate for positive change. At the end of the day, Jordan believes in transforming setbacks into opportunities and that when we stand together, we can make a real difference in the world.
